We had the plastic fountain. It hummed, it grew slime in corners the brush couldn't reach, and it lived in the utility room because it was too ugly for the kitchen. The dog drank from the tap instead.
We looked for a better one and couldn't find it. Everything on the market was the same plastic bowl and pump, wrapped in the same paw print branding, sold with the same invented reviews. So we designed our own: stainless steel, cordless so you can carry it to the sink, quiet, and good looking enough to sit next to the kettle.
